Job Description
Our client, a local non-profit, is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support their CEO, Accounting, and HR departments. You will assist in accounting with payables and receivables. You will assist in human resources with payroll, filing, scheduling for interviews, new hire orientation, spreadsheets, employee incentives and rewards program. You will assist the Chief Executive Officer with board meeting preparation, and communications with the Board of Directors. Additional duties may include filing, copying, scanning, faxing, answering calls, and non-janitorial general upkeep of office, such as ordering office supplies, record keeping and office equipment oversite.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and accounts receivable
- Meet accounting and payroll deadlines
- Respond timely to information requests, reviewing and assisting with audits
- Perform clerical duties such as typing, Board Meeting note taking; prepare reports, scanning, copying, faxing various documentation
- Maintain office supplies & office equipment
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to multitask
- Miscellaneous administrative tasks and/or projects as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
- 4+ years of basic accounting and QuickBooks experience
- Payroll experience, ADP Workforce preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-directed and able to work with limited supervision
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Part-time: Monday-Friday (possibility of turning into full-time)
Pay = $19-$22/hr DOE
