Job Description

Our client, a local non-profit, is looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse ( LVN ) to maintain accurate documentation, maintaining a quality standard of care required for Title 17 and Title 22. The Licensed Vocational Nurse will pass medications as prescribed and provide daily client care as needed such as breathing treatments, GT feedings, catheter care and glucose monitoring. The Licensed Vocational Nurse will provide nursing and health care services to the clients and staff according to the policies and procedures of the facility. The Licensed Vocational Nurse will administer TB testing and other vaccines for all current employees on an annual basis and all new hires, while maintaining necessary documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:
Current Vocational Nurse license in the state of California
First Aid and CPR Certification
Clean DMV and Clear background check
Attend all safety and required training classes
Basic Understanding of Microsoft Office programs
Promote the mission, vision and values of the organization

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain all documentation required for medication administration as outlined by Title 17 and Title 22 regulations
Input and maintain all current physician s orders in software system.
Communicate and follow communication procedures with clients, families, care providers, outside facilities
Respond to all emergencies which require medical attention
Administer medications, treatments, prn medications, and daily client care as needed (breathing treatment, feeding, etc.) as prescribed in the physician' s plan of care
Maintain current prescription information i.E., labeled properly and are current for all medications given at facility
Maintain communication with Nursing Supervisor, Director of Business Services & Facilities and other program supervisors.
Able to assess, troubleshoot and apply sound nursing judgement in stressful client and staff health care management decisions
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the nursing station and medication storage areas
Attend all meetings as needed
Administer TB testing and other vaccines for all current employees on an annual basis and all new hires as required
Participate in staff training/education
Other duties as assigned

Full-time / Mon Fri / 7: 30am to 3: 30pm
