Facilities Manager for Public Agency

Job Description
Our client is looking for a Facilities Manager to perform a variety of duties related to the overall supervision and operations of their recreation facility.
DUTIES (may include, but are not limited to, the following):

Incorporate new developments in recreation.

Resolve procedural, operational and other related problems.

Ensure program and facility accessibility.
-
Maintain records; provide and develop reports; analyze information and data; develop and suggest membership marketing incentives and modifications to operation of facility.

Present reports; monitor compliance with laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Participate in the budget development process; responsible for procurement of supplies and equipment; monitor expenditures.

Participate in the selection of recreation staff; plan, prioritize, assign, supervise and review the work of staff responsible for providing recreation program services; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement corrective actions.

Coordinate facilities reservations and assess, plan, and evaluate maintenance of the facility.

Collaborate with departments and outside agencies to organize, coordinate and promote programs, events and reserved facility usage.

May perform work duties and responsibilities of the Recreation Superintendent in his/her absence.

Support the policies, goals and objectives and work with management and other staff to ethically achieve such goals and objectives; ensure compliance with safety procedures.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS (Demonstrated Knowledge of):
-
City and Department procedures, policies and guidelines; City Code; Federal and State ADA standards; Fire Code Compliance; Occupational Health and Safety Association (OSHA) standards.

Regulations and procedures for reporting of incidents and injures; methods and techniques of safety compliance and enforcement.

Principles and practices of effective project management, leadership, supervision and training.

Safety practices relating to recreation programs, equipment and activities.
-
Principles and practices of recreation program development and administration.
-
Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with coworkers and other individuals in contact during the course of work; communicating clearly and concisely.

Operating a personal computer utilizing standard software such as Microsoft Office and some specialized software and standard equipment.
-
Creating and modifying policies and procedures.
-
Working independently.
Full-time
Pay = $20-27/hr
