Job Description
Our client is looking for an Employer Relations Development Specialist that will proactively and strategically identify, build, cultivate and/or maintain professional relationships with local, regional, national and international employer for recruitment of students and alumni. You will develop a working partnership with the Career Center Internship team, internship coordinators on-campus, and it s counterparts. You will identify existing and new organizations (i.E. Non-profit, government, federal, municipalities, corporate) to connect with the appropriate resources and personnel at the Career Center. You will plan, coordinate, and oversee the on-campus recruitment program (i.E. On-campus interviews, Information Sessions, information tabling, Career Fairs). You will strategically work with the Career Counselors to share job/internship opportunities to identify the best qualified candidate to match with the employer work needs. You will consistently follow up with employers to conduct an employer survey after each employer engagement to measure success and/or program enhancements. You will create and facilitate employer related workshops for student to use best practices (i.E. Networking, navigating career fairs) for students and alumni. You will guide students and alumni with the appropriate tools, technology, and resources offerings from the Career Center. You will use innovative technology and social media (i.E. YouTube, Instagram, FB, LinkedIn, snapchat) for marketing and communication with students and alumni. You will manage all events using the Career Center s platform Handshake. You will have the responsibility to assess employer programs to meet the labor market needs using assessment tools such as Qualtrics, Handhshake and CampusLabs.
Event Coordination
Under general supervision of the Career Center Director, you will create, schedule, promote and coordinate all career fairs, internship fairs, interview sessions, information sessions and any student to employer contact with students using Handshake. These tasks will require partnering with campus resources to secure space, equipment, catering, parking, and any presentation needs the event requires. You will create an EXPO model for employer recruitment and student engagement (Industry Panel, Information Sessions, Career Fair). You will also manage and monitor the employer partners program to coordinate all recruitment engagement employer needs. You will also create reports on all event outcomes using Handshake to share with team, on-campus partners, and employers.
Miscellaneous
Under general supervision of the Career Center Director, you will provide assistance in budget planning, strategic planning, goal setting, monthly and annual reports, etc. You will also attend administrative staff meetings and participate in professional development activities and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications
Bachelors and at least 3 years of working experience in the field (community service, connecting with people, employer and non-profit/community relationships, etc.) OR a Masters can be substituted for 2 years of working experience
