Our client, a local non-profit, is seeking a highly detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the management of their scholarship program. The ideal candidate must be organized, reliable, and comfortable communicating with students, parents, and colleges while managing sensitive documentation with accuracy and discretion.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data entry, phone communication, and document review
Communication & Outreach
Contact parents, students, and college representatives to obtain updates or missing documentation
Respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Document Review & Processing
Review student transcripts, personal statements, letters of recommendation, and financial aid forms
Verify accuracy of names, numbers, and required materials
Ensure all documentation is complete and properly organized
Computer & Administrative Work
Use Microsoft Excel to track data and generate reports
Use Microsoft Word to prepare and send correspondence
Maintain organized digital and physical records
General Office Support
Print and copy documents
Prepare mailings and deliver materials to the post office
Assist with general administrative tasks as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree (4-year college degree required)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Exceptional attention to detail, especially with numbers and names
High level of reliability and ability to handle confidential student information
Part-time
Pay = $22-24/hr (DOE)
