Our client, a local grower, is seeking a qualified accountant to join their team. Bilingual a plus!

Job Description:

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining and tracking all product inventory from harvest to production to shipping.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee incoming and outgoing inventory.

• Calculate inventory to generate pack out and other reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• Reconcile inventory with weight certificates, account summaries, and sales reports to prepare invoices.

• Work with external growers and maintain quantities and packing charges as well as reconcile inventory for grower settlements and payments.

• Work with Packing House Tally and Shipping/Receiving on inventory and to resolve any tag/shipping/receiving issues.

• Reconcile inventory and market assessment charges for preparation of paying fees.

• Assist with training other team members where there is overlap with Accounting.

• May assist with other accounting and administrative tasks, as needed.

Requirements:

• Experience with grower accounting, cost accounting and/or shipping.

• College degree in Business, Accounting or Agribusiness a plus.

• Accounting software experience (Famous preferred).

• Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Attention to detail and planning.

• Proficient communication skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is plus.

Schedule:

• Full-time, year-round.

• Hours vary during the season including overtime and weekends, as needed.

Compensation/Salary: Annual salary $70,000 to $75,000 DOE
